Umka Club CasinoRank was built on a single frustration: casino reviews written by people who have never played at the casino they are reviewing. This policy explains how we do things differently.
How We Select Casinos to Review
Every casino on Umka Club CasinoRank is reviewed only after we have verified the following minimum criteria:
- The casino holds a current licence from a recognised regulatory body (UKGC, MGA, Malta, Gibraltar, or Curaçao)
- The casino has been operating for at least 6 months with no outstanding unresolved player complaints from major complaint forums
- The casino accepts real-money deposits and has a verifiable track record of processing withdrawals
Casinos that fail these criteria are not reviewed. Casinos that receive affiliate partnership requests from us but fail our criteria are rejected regardless of commercial terms offered.
Our Scoring Methodology
Every casino receives a score on a 10-point scale across four equally weighted dimensions:
- Bonus Quality — Evaluates welcome bonus value, wagering requirements (30x or under is excellent; 50x or over is poor), game contribution rates, time limits, and whether the bonus is worth claiming at all given its constraints.
- User Experience — Evaluates game library breadth and quality, site navigation, mobile compatibility, search and filter functionality, and the overall experience of playing at the casino.
- Customer Support — Evaluates availability (24/7 vs. limited hours), response time tested via live chat, quality of responses, and availability of multiple contact channels.
- Payout Speed — Evaluates how quickly withdrawals are processed across payment methods, KYC verification process, withdrawal limits, and any reports of withheld winnings.
Scores are set by our review team based on direct testing and are not derived from casino-supplied data. The formula is fixed — it does not change between casinos and cannot be influenced by the casino.
Direct Testing Requirement
Our reviewers are required to perform the following minimum testing before a score can be published:
- Register a real account at the casino (not a demo account)
- Make at least one real-money deposit using a minimum of two different payment methods
- Play a selection of games from at least three different game providers
- Contact customer support via live chat with a substantive question and record the response time
- Initiate at least one real-money withdrawal and document the processing time
Reviews that cannot meet this standard (for example, casinos that restrict access to testers from our location) are marked clearly with the limitations of our testing.
Affiliate Relationships and Editorial Independence

Casinos that we earn higher commission from are not ranked higher as a result. Commission rates do not factor into any part of our scoring algorithm.
Review Updates
Online casinos change their offerings frequently. Our policy is to update reviews when:
- The casino's bonus terms change materially (wagering requirements, maximum bonus amount)
- The casino changes its payout processing speed by more than 24 hours
- A significant number of new unresolved player complaints emerge on major complaint forums
- The casino's licence status changes
- A reader submits a credible correction request via our contact email
Each review displays a "Last updated" date. This reflects the most recent substantive update to the review content, not a cosmetic edit.

We do not publish anonymous reviews. If an article does not have a named byline, it is authored by the Umka Club editorial team collectively and reviewed by Alex Carter before publication.
